IntegrityM President and CEO Named Washington Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honoree
Integrity Management Services Inc. (IntegrityM) President and CEO, Nisha Shajahan, has been named a Washington Business Journal (WBJ) 2018 40 Under 40 Honoree. A ceremony recognizing the honorees was held on June 26 at the PNC Diamond Club at Nationals Park.
“Each honoree is a standout in his or her industry, climbing the ranks at a young age while still finding time to impact the Greater Washington community,” said Emily Van Zandt, Associate Editor of the Washington Business Journal. “A panel of outside judges, along with Washington Business Journal staff, sifted through more than 450 nominations to determine this year’s class. Among them are doctors, CFOs, twentysomething tech CEOs, top attorneys, store owners, architects and more.”
Ms. Shajahan, who was also named a Women In Technology (WIT) 2018 Leadership Awards finalist, helped grow IntegrityM from a wholly owned, $1 million subsidiary of Strategic Management Systems Inc. to a stand-alone, women-owned business that boasted $12 million in revenue in 2016.
“I am humbled to receive this honor by the Washington Business Journal, especially as a representative of IntegrityM, a company I am so proud to see continue to grow and flourish,” says Shajahan. “Our goal as an organization is to make a difference in this world by adopting a philosophy of servant leadership whereby we not only focus on high-quality services and deliverables for our clients but also take the time to give back to our employees and the community. I want to thank my business partners as well as our employees for allowing me the opportunity to stand alongside 39 other amazing honorees for this prestigious award!”
Under Ms. Shajahan’s leadership, IntegrityM has achieved numerous recognitions including, 2016 G2Xchange Federal Health IT Challenge winner for Best Product in the Small Business Category, 2017 U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Washington Metropolitan Area District Office’s (WMADO) Small Business Subcontractor of the Year, and 2018 Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) Award of Excellence.
Nisha recognizes the importance of giving back to the community and helping those who are less fortunate, and has established two programs within her organization: G.E.M.S. (Grow, Empower, Motivate, and Support) to develop employees as well as show gratitude, and IntegrityM Cares, creating an opportunity for employees to participate in community-based volunteerism and donation based giving events.
As a co-owner of a business which primarily is involved in government consulting, she, alongside her partners, strive to make IntegrityM a workplace providing a good work-life balance, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, attracting creative and innovative talent, cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit, and emphasizing the spirit of gratitude and giving.
